Container Strike

Today the headlines here read about a strike that occurred at one of our local container terminals. An illegal strike I might add. Well the unions are doing it again. Shut the place down over some trivial thing that could be solved in a dozen other ways. Just think of the number of businesses and other in between agencies that are affected. Is this an effective way of doing things? You bet!

For it won't be too long and the cry will be, "Why is New York getting this line, why is that line changing to NY?", and our high paid dock workers will be on the unemployment line, along with plenty of others whose income depend on those containers coming and going.

Yeah the attention will come. How much does it cost to dismantel those big cranes. Might have to lower the dock a little to fit those pleasure boats. Need a new ferry terminal?
