We Had To Go Back

Shopping Continues

You see, the last time we went to Destin, Fl. for the sales, they gave those who shall not be named, coupons with each of their purchases.

The coupons say: “20% off valid on December 17, 2013.” Along with that, today is senior’s day 15% off. Even more, stuff in the store was marked down 20% or more.

So you know where today’s venture took us.

Lighted Palm Trees On Sale

Also a sale in the newspaper had more discounts. The only thing of interest to me was a lighted palm tree, that with the discounts would come out to less than $30.

It turned out to be a funny looking cat scratch pole with a spruce tree looking top.

No palm tree for me. No sale.

Check In

As a guy I have to do something besides sit on the old folks bench near the door.

To avoid that, a week or so ago I purchased ‘Internet On The Go’ so I have internet in the van.

(More on that in a later post when I have it fully tested.)

Anyway that allows me to use my tablet and Facebook to check in. At Hooters.

(Which was nifty because the van was parked half way between the store where the women were shopping and Hooters.)

Later they move on, two malls up the road to Ross Dress Barn. Where I check in again.

Then on to another mall and so on.

Homeward Bound

Finally we arrive back to our place of winter residence in Panama City Beach.

A successful day once again. The ladies really did obtain some great bargains. I didn’t see the money they saved, but they got a lot for the amount spent. Wonderful.

Thank goodness this bargain and percent off stuff has ended.

“What’s that you say?”

“You have another one of those cash register things with 20% off?”

“And its only valid on December 19th, 2013!”
