You Got To Be Kidding
I spent many years in the airforce and am very proud of it, and would do it again if things were the same and I had my life over again. But things are not!
This week in a local paper a member of the upper level suggested that an idea being considered was to ship our subs to their required location and then deploy them. ?? Duh? or is it Doh?
I could be mistaken, but isn't the idea of a sub to go silently and not attract attention, in the interest of security, observation and protection? Looks like the trip to the store had a couple flaws. Couldn't 'drive' them home, had to pay shipping charges, and now we need to ship them to the job site.
Anybody check the price of rail shipment? The railways need more business and it seems to me overland would be more economical than all that sea stuff....
