Battery Operated Electric Marshmallow Toaster
Wink: There are three kinds of people: those who can count and those who can't.
Christmas time always brings out the product you never knew existed from last year's inventory of back room not sold merchandise.
The one that caught my eye this year is the "Battery Operated Electric Marshmallow Toaster". Holy artificial crap, this may be just what I need. Lets look at this gem a little closer.
Now all we have is a picture on a box, they wouldn't dare display one of these must have high tech items out in the open. So, the picture on the box shows a hand holding the Battery Operated Electric Marshmallow Toaster over the open flame of a camp fire. (I would have thought with a title like Battery Operated Electric Marshmallow Toaster in such big letters that it would be toasting the mallows.) Mushrooms, er..marshmallows are partially toasted in the picture.
There are three of them, each on individual chrome tines. Now the described hand is awfully close to the flame since this device doesn't look to be more than a foot long. Oh yeah, batteries not included, no surprise there. What the heck are they for anyway?
Well I would assume, because it doesn't say, that it must rotate those three little fellas round and round over the fire. Now my mind works different than most (battery operated ones especially), so I am thinking what keeps them from falling off? That is what usually happens when I use a twig. Now I have three MMs in the fire.
Or the other conundrum, it catches fire. Now I have three marshmallows on fire, should be good. It also occurs to me that if the batteries die, I may have another uncontrolled situation on hand. Would one marshmallow catch on fire and the others survive? Or would they all be toasted lightly on one side and the other side look like an egg?
So I give up on the Battery Operated Electric Marshmallow Toaster. I really should have followed my wife through the ladies clothing department anyway.
