Computer to Phone to Computer

Wink: The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing.

I am surprised to find out that a lot of people don't realize that you can send text messages to cell phones direct from your computer.

You have to find the web page for the provider that the person uses to whom you want to send the message. For example, Telus, Aliant, Rogers, etc. Once you find the page, just type in the message, the number and a little security code and then send your message. Your text message will arrive on their phone in seconds. In a lot of cases it is much faster than thumb typing on the phone.

I am equally surprised that some people who use text messaging often don't realize you can send text messages to any email address from their phone. And in most cases the person can reply as usual from computer to phone.

This even comes in handy for people who want to send a text message to someone who doesn't have a cell phone, or who doesn't use text messaging.

Do a little looking around and you will find all sorts of unused goodies built into the gadgets you already have. These are old ones I have used for several years.
