What Rules?

Wink: Without geometry, life is pointless.

Read today about community groups suggesting ways are needed to get young folk to take responsibility and follow the rules. The usual give them that, give them this because they are bored suggestions were there. And it was noted no young people are ever present at these meetings.

My suggestion - set the example. We get further off track every day. For example, rules and laws are made to be observed, enforced and if not there should be results.

If you or anyone formed the one toed galloping club and made up a set of rules that certain attire had to be worn such as proper running shoes, sweat pants and t-shirt, then that is the way it should be. Otherwise you don't gallop.

Then one day one person shows up wearing work boots, because they despise running shoes. Are the rules to be changed to allow work boots because of one individual?

This appears to be happening many times these days. To those just beginning adult life, and adjusting their attitudes to the times, this gives the impression rules don't mean very much. If you don't like the rules just protest them a little and they will change them.

I was told one time the rules are not being changed, they are being adjusted to fit the situation accordingly.

I am thinking sometimes you can loosen the nut with a pair of pliers, but often a tight fitting wrench does the job a lot better.
