I Touched A Real Palm Tree

Well the journey to places unknown began yesterday, like the previous cartoons indicated. It was very strange to leave Nova Scotia in the middle of a blizzard with snow blowers outside the aircraft window barely keeping the taxiways and runways clear. In fact we had to sit for quite awhile to get de-iced before takeoff.

So the unknown place happens to be Orlando, where upon landing I look outside the aircraft window and see lawn mowers tidying up the landscape as if snow didn't exist.

Quite a strange feeling on my first trip in many many years. It was a wonderful flight WestJet, and as I look around I am sure I will find a couple stories for later blogging.

Oh, by the way - I touched a real palm tree!
