Again and Again
Well I see the construction season has arrived, and part of it in this region is the new sewer projects in aid of harbour cleanup. The historical types are right out there looking for artifacts from years past to verify or prove our history. That may be a good thing in its own right, but is it worth the cost? The cost of having the project take twice as long while the sludge is sifted. During that time the traffic is still detoured, and the business in the area lose more money. The cost of having construction crews and equipment stand idle while the ground is poked and handled with fingers and gloves. Yes we pay for all that. Is it any wonder these projects cost billions with an overrun each time they change streets? That is my observation ...
