Busy Day
My day was going in circles, no back and forth. I added more equipment to the toy department. So it required a special cable. I knew that and I got the cable the same time I got the added equipment. Test time, which took about two hours. Excellent, everything works. Using a laptop for testing purposes I figured since everything is okay I may as well hook this thing up to the desktop where it will be used most often. Wham!!! Okay you idiot that developed IEEE1394, what's with the different cable ends? IEEE1394 on the Lappy uses 4 pin to 4 pin. IEEE1394 on the desktop uses 4 pin to 6 pin. Off we go for another cable. Back to the second testing ground. Success at last. I hate it when they can't settle on a standard. Like Miz D, I wish they would stay on standard time...
