Easter Reflections

Easter has its religious origins and everyone should be well aware of that. In this household nearly every Sunday is a family day and today is no exception. The meal is being prepared for our families and the grand children. Having good family relationships is top value in these sometimes changing times. A couple things came to mind as I reflect on our positive supportive family network.

1) Best comment our 'kids' ever said to us : When are you two going to grow up?

2) Strangest thing that ever happened raising a family: When you suddenly realize your children know more than you do, and know better ways of doing things.

3) One of the funniest things that happened: When you rebuild your shed and the boys won't even let you on the roof. And your neighbour comes over and says "That's different, now you are the gopher".

4) The best of the best that makes it all worthwhile: No matter what project you are doing, no matter what troubles you have, they are always there to help.

Sometimes the thankyou's are forgotten, sometimes the favour doesn't get returned, but this is a luxury we have at our house!
