Let's Watch TV
Certain things in the every day world make me wonder. Watching TV for example I previously mentioned how thorough our rating system is. (Everything is PG, with a warning for mature audiences only.)
Now the other thing that gets me. "This program has been modified to fit your screen." First of all how do they know what size my screen is? Your screen may very well be a different format and size than mine. Just play the %*$3 movie.
Then there are the movies that have subtitles popping across the bottom. Fine. If they are speaking another language, it is nice to have the main idea of what they are saying. But a lot of the time they are speaking english, with english subtitles. OK, maybe for the hearing impaired, but then subtitles designed for them you can turn off. You can't turn off the ones I am talking about.
Then you get the movies with every second word the 'F' word. Now I probably swear as much as anybody, especially if things go wrong when I am working on something. But every second word? But it has a PG rating, that is the main thing. (Language may be unsuitable for young viewers.) But the main thing, they cover up the boobs with the pixelator. Gotta keep the show clean....happy viewing.
