Let's Retire (ps - not about cars)

I attended a two day pre-retirement seminar the last two days, because that time for me is fast approaching. Here is what I got out of it.

* If you cheat on any of the tax items or your status, it is your friends and neighbours that turn you in.

* All the things we think about seniors are not true, and all the things we think are not true are.

* After retirement is a good time to be a volunteer, if you have liability covered. They are liable to want to sue you after you retire too.

* Financial planning should have been done years ago, but you don't find out about it until you attend a 'retirement' seminar.

* If you change housing after retirement, it will probably be a wrong decision.

* All the food I like is full of fat and not good for you. So I will not last long after I retire.

* Everyone should include estate planning and a will, but they will fight over it anyway.
