How’s Your Housework Going? – Busy Two Weeks
Spent the last two weeks, (with a little help – okay a lot of help), cleaning the entire house, washing walls, ceilings, ornaments, floors, everything in sight. It has been several years, so a thorough job was in order.
Some Things Learned
When you step off the step ladder, make sure you know where the bucket is.
If you hung a heavy mirror or picture ten years ago, don’t take it down. No matter how you angle those bifocals, you will never be able to hang it again.
You will always discover one missed area in each room you finish – the following day.
If you hang picture frames on a single nail, the nail will disappear into the wall on re-hanging the minute the hanger touches it.
If you move a large piece of furniture out from the wall to get the dust & dirt under it, there will be just as much dust & dirt where it was sitting when you move it back from where you had it.
Emotional Side
Then there was the emotional side. I had to throw out a lot of hanging plastic plants and things because they were dust collectors, or so I was told.
The worst part was the bunny in the bathroom. What? You don’t have a bunny in your bathroom? He was tossed in the garbage, bum up! That’s just not fair.
