Go Button
Why do some web site designers put a "Go" button beside their drop down selection box?
As you see here, you use the drop down menu to select an item, and it sits there. You have to click the "Go" button to get the page you want.
Why the extra step?
I design my own web site and use these drop down lists frequently. It is very easy to say you don't want the "Go" button.
When a user selects the item they want, the site immediately takes them to that page. No delay, no extra clicks.
There must be a reason for the "Go" button, darned if I know what it could be.
