Too Tall

I can understand toilet paper rolls getting smaller and the card board centres getting larger. But they still fit on the holders.

I’ve seen advertisements for “Too Tall Chocolate Cake,” and that boggles the mind a little bit.

What I am seriously wondering, is what’s with the “too tall” pop bottles? That’s soda bottles for the folks across the border.

TallBottles

Look at them – the shelf is actually pushed upward, with the shelf at its maximum.

Most refrigerators have standard placement slots for the shelves, that allow adjustment for most products.

That was in the past.

Some where, some how, some time, some one, came up with the bright idea of making these bottles taller so they would appear to contain more for the same price. At least I am supposing that is the reason for the taller plastic container called a bottle.

We are all familiar with food containers getting smaller in diameter with less product for the same price. Or changing shape to achieve the same purpose.

Why then would someone choose to make bottles too tall to fit the average fridge? Is that really supposed to make us think we are getting more?
