How’s Your Clock?
It’s that time of year again. Tonight we do it.
Set your clocks back one hour.
This is an intensive operation not to be taken lightly.
You have to get those clocks off the wall, set the time back an hour once you find the doo-ma-jiggy, and then get it back on the hanger on the wall with less than two four letter words.
Then there’s the ones where you have to hold one button in, change the hour with another button with the other hand, and watch the display at the same time. Ever notice how the digits speed up just as you get close to the correct time?
Don’t forget the one where you have to hold the button in and go all the way around 23 hrs. to get the time set correctly. See if you can get that one first time around.
You just cut your finger nails didn’t you? And you still have all those tiny stem watches to set back. Don’t laugh ladies, the long finger nails don’t work on stems either.
And then there’s the VCR. - - Don’t worry about that one. Its been flashing 12:00 since 1972.
The car, the car, don’t forget the car. At least you can sit down while pushing those hold buttons. Where did you say the manual is?
In the morning the fun begins. Which one did you miss. If not tomorrow, then days later, you will always find one time piece chugging along an hour ahead of time.
Hope someone calls you so your cell phone can set itself.
P.S Daylight Saving Time huh? I don’t get it. Daylight comes our way throughout the day in its own time frame, and leaves the same way. You can’t save it. I can’t take this daylight hour and save it until 10 o’clock tonight to use when I feel like it.
