Website Weeds
Who Do You See?
Remember back in radio days, you would hear an announcer on radio and form a vision of what he or she looked like? Then perhaps some day in the future you would meet or get to see that on air personality, and they would look nothing like you had imagined.
Who's Behind That Blog
When you read a blog online, who do you suppose it behind it? One person, or two or three? Are they young or old? Do they have experience in what they are writing about? Or are they just telling you what they think?
The answer could be, and probably is, yes on most counts.
Who's Behind That Web Site
When you look at that web site, the same questions can apply, with maybe even a couple extras. Is that web site a large company or just an individual? Or could it be a few individuals.
Again the answer could be, and probably is, yes on most counts.
Easy Build
Web sites and blogs are easy to build these days. Fancy or plain, it isn't all that expensive to do either. Some of the largest companies have plain web sites. Some individuals have elaborate sites. It really depends on the image that company or individual wants to get in front of everyone online.
Weeds
Like a garden, there are always weeds in the online world. You need to be very diligent in keeping the good plants growing and pulling out the weeds. And as you get rid of the weeds, more weeds appear to take the place of the old ones.
The good plants are usually stable and last for a long time. But they can and do change at times. Sometimes good plants are cross bred with other plants and become less desirable. Maybe sometimes even turn into weeds.
Tend Your Garden
You have to tend your online garden as the months and years go by. Pay attention to what is growing in your bookmarks and favourites. Are they as reliable and good as they used to be?
If you are to have a reliable garden of resources, you have to keep a close watch for the weeds.
Just a thought - now I have to go pull some weeds!
