Be Careful What You Click - Again
I mentioned not long ago to be careful what you click in emails, Facebook and anywhere else for that matter.
Friends Forward
Even when friends send you things, sometimes they just forward, and don’t realize what they are forwarding.
Know For Sure
Unless you know for sure where the link is taking you, don’t click. That’s it, period.
Skype Too?
Here’s another version, which is basically the same thing using Skype messaging, brought to our attention by MakeUseOf.
It Comes Down to Click or Don’t Click
It doesn’t really matter what the medium is, email, Facebook, Skype or any other text type communications that can contain links.
Don’t be a “Clicker.” Move slowly, pay attention to what you are about to click on. Move the mouse over the link but don’t click, and watch the box below that shows the link to see if you can tell where its taking you.
If you don’t know, don’t click. And if you can see an ‘exe’ or ‘zip’ in there, its probably going to be better to leave and move on.
I Don’t Know How I Got That
Most computer problems I am asked about are because the user “clicked” something.
