This is the Thanksgiving weekend for folks in Canada. I often think, but don’t say it enough, that we have a lot to be thankful for.

Stores Will Never Open Again

That’s not true, but you would think so looking at all the traffic around the malls and shopping outlets. Its like that on a lot of long weekends where Monday is a holiday. I can never figure out why so many drivers become crazy and so many shoppers make it look like a mob scene.

The same stuff was there all week and it will be there next week, and I am sure everyone won’t use all the stuff they are competing for on this one day.

I Am Thankful

I don’t say it very often, certainly not often enough, that I am happy with my life and what I have. Sure there are more gadgets I could have, it would be nice to win a million dollar lottery, and I can think of lots more to add to a list like that. We all do.

Truth is, my past has been good to me, the present is good for me as well, and God willing the future is looking okay too.

Sounds like I am at my pulpit, and perhaps I am for once.

Moments ago I just sort of leaned back in my chair and did some thinking of how nice it is to be here, and how nice it is to have you here with me.

I hope you feel that way too.
