What's With TV
I just read one of things that is going to disappear is TV as we know it today, over the air and on cable. It's probably just me, but I can't stand TV much anymore.
This Is News
I used to enjoy keeping up to date with the news. Now its the same thing 90 times all day long over and over again. I understand catering to those who have varying schedules, but for days?
Every little thing is so sensationalized and the big things are passed over quickly.
He-He-He-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ho-Ho-Ho
This also includes the news talk shows as well as most other talk shows. They talk about the most useless information you can think of, and He-He-Ha Ha-Ho-Ho all through it like its the funniest thing that ever happened. The humour just isn't there when this goes on for an entire hour show or more.
The Screamers
This is the category I hate the most. Most shows now scream their heads off. No one talks in a normal level voice anymore. They have to holler, scream and yell.
Talks shows do it, news shows do it, infomercials do it, sitcoms do it, screaming and yelling all day long. What happened to a normal tone of voice?
- All Together Now, Lets All Talk At Once
This is my second most category that I dislike. Talk shows that have several hosts, and they discuss a topic - all talking at once over each other. No control and it gets louder and louder, often moving into the 'Screamer' category above.
Then there's the news interview, where you do have a moderator and several or more participants. Starts out with some control with everyone taking a turn. Then it breaks loose. Everyone talking at once, over each other, getting louder and louder, including the moderator.
What happened to the control?
Subject Matter
The discussion portion of many so called popular programs is getting a little boring. Did I say little? I am not going to name sample topics, but tune in practically anywhere, whether it be news, talk show or whatever. Ask some of the questions listed below. Do you like your answers?
Questions
- Is this news?
- Are you really interested in what they are talking about? Or is it useless filler?
- Can you hear what they are saying?
- Did the person really say something informative?
- Did the person really say something?
