Paradise For White Rabbits
Finally Home
Since the last post we finally made a safe journey from Bangor to our city home in Nova Scotia. The drive was freezing rain from Bangor to Amherst, where things turned to rain. I don’t mind driving in less than ideal conditions, I am used to it.
I do have concerns though, mostly with what other drivers tend to do, including professionals. After our arrival there were numerous reports of crashes, including 18-wheelers, a fatality and lots more. We did see an 18-wheeler setting low in the median in a gully with its trailer roof about level with the roadway.
Rabbit Rabbit
The following day it was snowing a blizzard. Along with what was already on the ground, this was a welcome we didn’t wish to have. It is said if you say “Rabbit” as your first words at the beginning of a month, you will have a good month. True or not, if the rabbits are white you wouldn’t see them in my yard.
White Flowers
After two days in the city we decide to move on to the country home. Trip itself was uneventful other than slimy wet roads with lots of spray. So much for not ever having any salt on the van.
Shortly after unloading and getting a few things put away, these big white flowers begin falling out of the sky. Thick enough you can hardly see across the street.
Some how an adjustment has to be made. We’ve got to stay in Florida longer. Everything was arranged so we wouldn’t see any of this stuff. How did that work?
I know, I know, the bag of sympathy is under the sink. You had to slip slide and shovel for months.
