Magic Broom

You know the kind. The dust and debris sticks to them making clean-up easier.

Sometimes they are even called a magnetic broom.

Some of them are even tapered so they can reach under objects.

They say the broom fibres have flagged fibres to pick up dust and debris.

They even come with their own dust pan complete with grooved handle to fit the broom handle.

And they have these little teeth on one side of the dust pan to remove the debris from the broom.

Makes the sweeping jobs so much easier. Right?

Not for me!

Here’s my experience.

The clip on dust pan always falls off just as you store it in the closet as the broom falls over because it is tapered and won’t stand up straight. You’re with me on that one.

After sweeping and you use the dustpan teeth to clean off the bristles, the dust balls (that’s big dust bunnies), end up on your shoe. I knew you did that one.

Or – the dust ball debris remains on the bristles no matter how many teeth passes you do. (See they are magnetic remember,) only to fall off when you store it in the closet and it falls over because it is tapered not to stand up straight.

The heck with those brooms. I want one of those vacuum cleaners with the ball stuck under it.
