I am having a hard time not to be in a bad mood, since I just got around to completing my income tax preparations. As usual it looks like I will have to pay in a lot of money. Everyone else I know seems to get money back, but not me. In all my years of working I always get to pay in. Once I got money back, I think it was enough to buy a large bag of chips.

Now I would have no problem paying the money in, if we were getting adequate health care for everyone; if our armed forces were getting the equipment they need; if our highways were being improved, repaired and upgraded, and so on it goes.

But when I pay in, I think of the free trips to Africa; the trade talks to [you fill in the blank]; media and officials to NWT; and this list would go on longer that the blog server could hold.

I guess I have no one but myself to blame for choosing the wrong profession, and not it's not part of paragraph three...
