Telephone Surveys
I have been getting a few calls lately wanting to know my opinions on various things. Of course they will not try to sell you anything, or give your name to anyone else. It is completely generic, no one knows who you are. I rarely answer these calls, but sometimes I get in a devilish mood.
The first thing when they are soliciting my opinion about something that gets to me is this. They read you a question, then give you a choice of four answers. Then it is not my opinion, it is a choice of theirs.
At the end they ask you for your postal code and to verify you phone number in case their supervisor wants to check up on 'them'. Well folks, give me your postal code and phone number and I can use the internet and tell exactly where you live. In fact just the phone number will do if it is not unlisted.
I play a little game myself, first I figure out who they are calling for. There are few random research companies, most are working for a single business. Then I do everything in my power to give the answers they do not want to hear. After all that is my opinion!
