Insurance Adjusters - Again.

This morning was an interesting drive to work. We had freezing rain and the roads were quite slippery. Not bad enough to be much of a problem for people who have a brain and know how to drive accordingly.

Unfortunately I observed one of those who don't. (Don't know how to drive accordingly and don't have a brain.)

We were traveling in an 80km zone and traffic was moving about 60km per hr. It was probably safe to drive about 70km if the driver was used to slippery conditions. But I would rather see someone drive too slow and be safe, rather than too fast and wipe out half the community. There were five vehicles ahead of me. The second driver in line, driving a van decided everybody was going too slow, so he passes the car in front of him - on a double solid line, on a hill.

Guess what: freezing rain makes the road slippery, doh! The van driver loses it, does a 360 deg. spin and hits the guard rail head on, hard enough that the back wheels of the van come off the ground. The rest of the cars are scattered all over the place trying to avoid the android.

The first five vehicles pull over and everyone gets out in the pouring rain and cold. I am the sixth and I keep going. I refuse to stop for someone so stupid.

Welcome to the world of insurance adjusters!
