Keyboard?
I am known as keyboard because I use the keyboard a lot instead of the mouse. Now most keyboards for desktop computers are standardized with all keys in the exact same position. Sure there are some exotic keyboards with extra keys that do fancy things, but the regular keys are always in the same position.
I use two laptop computers on a regular basis. Both have keys all over the place. Granted, due to less space they have to adjust positions a little. But why can't they all be the same. Mine is a Compaq brand, the keys on it are closest to a desktop. My work computer is a Toshiba and the keys are all over the place. For example, the thing only has one windows key located at the top by the function keys, the deleted key is next to the space bar and so on.
Very confusing for someone that does touch typing. Why can't they all be laid out the same or close to the desktop configuration like the Compaq?
Remote controls are standardized, telephones are standardized, bank machines are standardized; come on laptop manufacturers - get with it!
