Catch-22 Revisited

Cloud Nine has a very good piece on Catch-22. It reminds me of some of my years gone by.

For example, many years ago I need a typical loan for something, (been so long I forget what it was for). But you couldn't get a loan then if you didn't have a credit rating. Course you can't get a credit rating unless you get a loan somewhere.

Then in one of our beautiful provinces where I had to live for a time (I won't mention which one, except it starts with a 'Q'), I had purchased a car. I couldn't register it until I had insurance. Trick was, I couldn't get insurance until I registered it.

Then in another place I needed a high level security pass. Trouble was, the security office was inside the security area. You could only get a pass from the security office, but you can't get to the office without a pass.

So Miz D, I see things haven't changed much - things go on for generations...
