Bulletin or Bust?

It looks like the sister project, the Bulletin Board of NSCAVE is not working. No one has posted anything in weeks and of course due to the fact I have several things on the go in the internet line it has lacked leadership.

As it lies in limbo I am considering whether to close it down forever or to pick a theme which the board must stick to. I am  also considering whether to follow the rules of bulletin board operation or do something radically different.

For example when I ran my own disc jockey business some years ago, I was told you can’t play younger people’s music and older people’s music back to back. I was told you can’t play country music and rock music back to back, people would never dance to it.

Well I did that. And I did every other thing that you are not supposed to do as far as the rules of entertainment are concerned. I ended up with a very successful business with unlimited bookings. I closed it down because I could not stand anymore night life, and needed to have more home time.

The bulletin board has been sort of a trial to see how it works since it was included with a web package I have. It has been a learning process, and several people have pointed out some of the proper methods and rules for bulletin board operation. I appreciate that help.

In the meantime it has occurred to me that like the disc jockey business, perhaps I have to break all those rules and do something totally different. Will that happen? I don’t know yet, the idea light bulb is not yet at full brightness. When I apply a little more power, who knows what will happen. Perhaps something new and different, or perhaps the fuse will blow…
