Life In Slow Motion

It is a known fact that when you go from the fast paced city life to the slow country style that everything seems different. The folks do mostly the same things, but they are in no hurry to do it. (Kind of like when you are over the age of 65.)tiphat11

You notice it when you are out driving. In the city everyone is in a big hurry going with an expressionless face, get out of my way attitude. In the country they drive along at a s-l-o-w pace enjoying the scenery. Heck they even wave to each other, and let you out from the side streets if things are busy.

I visited the country a lot this summer.

The slow pace of life is very prominent. I even noticed the automatic doors are slower, not just in one business establishment, but many. If you don’t adjust your walking pace to a “slo-mo” style, you will most certainly walk into those slow opening automatic doors.

I’m adjusting my speed. (Which isn’t difficult, I am over 65.) Not taking a chance of walking into those automatic doors. The emergency response time may be slower too, who knows? And I have no interest in testing that.
