Cole Harbour Away

As I sort through the many photos taken during our Snowbird season in Florida I thought I would mention that Cole Harbour and the ‘Crosby’ name extend farther across North American than you may think.

It is no secret that our hockey player Sidney Crosby has promoted Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia with a passion. And since I am also from Cole Harbour, it didn’t take long to recognize a familiar name while waiting for the parade at this year’s Pensacola, Fl. Mardi Gras parade.

Standing directly across the street from us was a gentleman dressed proudly with number 87 attire.

We yelled across to him and said “Nova Scotia", and he gave us a big thumbs up along with a huge smile of satisfaction.

We asked him to turn around for a picture, he immediately complied, doing some moves fit for the fashion runway.

This was almost the highlight of the night time Pensacola Mardi Gras parade – for us anyway, and the parade hadn’t even started yet.

Sidney Crosby has made it big, and it is nice to see in person just how far his charisma has spread across these two nations.
