That’s What Snowbirds Do
Saturday is usually kind of an off day. Here in Panama City Beach it is often considered yard sale day.
It works like this. Friday you scan through the local paper classified section looking for the locations of the closest yard sales. You might even get to program the addresses into the GPS before time. Make no mistake, there are often some bargains to be found. There are also some waste of time trinkets lurking about too.
I heard a story this morning about a couple of couples heading out for the yard sale adventure.
Now this vehicle is equipped with two GPS's, one large and one small. (Does the little GPS watch where the big GPS is going? Or is it the other way around?)
As I said before this vehicle is equipped with two GPS's - and two women, along with their male counterparts. Off they go into the clear morning sand filled air, and finally reach their first yard sale treasure depot in someone's yard.
Not finding much of interest they again get aboard the above mentioned fully equipped van, this time using the GPS(s), and head out for a better stocked yard sale location.
They drive 5 miles, through twisted streets, intersections, past palm trees, through vast neighbourhoods - - - and end up at the same yard sale they had just left moments before.
What are you laughing at? That's what snowbirds do . . .
