I’m finding out it is hard to keep  regular . No, no, not that kind of regular, I am talking about regular entries for RoseGarden.  There are so many things for a northerner to do when they become a southerner for just a few months.

Slow Internet

I’ve managed to get a few videos produced for YouTube, however this year we ended up with a very slow internet connection and uploading even a small one tends to take 5 hrs or more. Overnighters bring on a new meaning  for every byte that follows. In fact being the resident computer guru, poor, impossible, or eventual internet connections seem to be the majority of questions I am asked about.

At home I am used to a super fast internet service like no other. Like many things, we take it for granted until something makes us pay attention. Kudos Eastlink back home, you're the greatest.

Things I Can’t Figure Out

As the new year gets under way there are many things I just can’t figure out.

I Can’t Figure Out - Just what group of office types would sit around and come up with the name Ice Cream Sandwich for a browser?

I Can’t Figure Out – We have wireless headphones, how long before we have headless ones?

I Can’t Figure Out –  If we can have long pants shortened, how long will it be before we can have short pants lengthened?

I Can’t Figure Out –  Tablets are all the rage, but why does everyone want a keyboard to work with them? Isn't that a netbook?

Maybe its old age?  - Someone recently said to me: "Don't worry about old age--it  doesn't last that long."
