WhatZizIt?
Yesterday morning I went outside to get the newspaper and there were cars lined up and down the street, on both sides.
People in heavy over-coats were going in all directions.
A guy was trying to stuff a step ladder into too small a station wagon.
Pedestrians were jostling for position.
There was an air of determination in the air.
There were glum faces, there were happy faces.
The pace of life seemed constant and even.
Money quietly changed hands, followed by treasured items large and small.
Proud looks, sad looks, stern looks and no looks were abundant.
Had the world gone mad? Were they building a stadium close by?
Not at all. The people across the street were having a Yard Sale!
That's the popular 6 a.m. Saturday entertainment around here.
Sundays are so peaceful.
