New Update Available
Computer Nagging
Having more than one computer, a portion of some of my days are spent just doing updates.
A new update is available.
For certain programs such as flash, it becomes quite intrusive and boring. Just as you are about to do something, up comes the warning and notice box, do you want to update now, or be reminded later. If you say later, the reminder will pop up just at the point you are doing something important and you will most always have the flashing "ick-on" down in the corner begging for attention.
Would you like to update now?
Don't start anything cause likely you will have to click "I agree" to all the rules and regulations of the company providing the update, which will always be shown in fine print that hardly anybody reads.
Do You Want - Its Free
Then the update begins and everything disappears. Except, "do you want a toolbar?" You say "No," and it disappears again.
Just when you think you are ahead of the game, another box, "Do you want automatic updates?" "No!" for the 15th time this year.
Finally we are done.
Oh no we're not.
Finished
"Your update has been installed successfully."
Can I have my computer back now?
