My son brought this to my attention, and since then, the more I listen, the more I see the light but don’t hear the drum.

Tis the season to be jolly and all that, and the tunes of the season bombard us from the radio, the malls, TV and the humming in our mind.

One of the old traditional favourites is “The Little Drummer Boy”.

I hear “The Little Drummer Boy” on the guitar.

I hear “The Little Drummer Boy” on the piano.

I hear “The Little Drummer Boy” in a full orchestra.

I hear “The Little Drummer Boy” in choir and voice.

But I never hear “The Little Drummer Boy” on drums.

What’s with that?
