SpeedPass - SlowPass
One of the gas companies I use often, promotes the use of a device called a speed pass. A little device you hold close to the gas pump that allows you to activate the pump, get your gas, and drive away. No buttons to push, no hassles, and it is charged to your favourite credit card. They finally talked me into using one, and it is terrific - except for the following two things.

1) The garages like most, have convenience stores. So people drive in to get their fuel, buy lotto tickets, snacks and Lord knows what else, while they leave their vehicle parked at the fuel pump. What's the good of the speed pass?

2) The garage I use most often has six double sided fuel pumps. Very often when I pull into the pump, and it varies each time, there is a little scribbled hand written note that says;"this pump cash only!". What's the good of the speed pass?

This wouldn't be so bad if it were a rare occasion. Problem is, this is the usual. The rare occasion is when you can drive in, use the speed pass and depart quickly.
