The Cry For Twins
I travel often to the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia which means trips on the 101 highway. Before it was twinned, people would fly by me at break neck speeds even though I was traveling the 100 km speed limit. Well a third of it is twinned now, a safer highway with four lanes. Sunday I made that trip again, the speed limit is 110 km per hr. My cruise control was set at that speed, and every vehicle except one passed me like I was doing 50 km. Only three vehicles used signal lights. About a dozen used a proper distance before cutting back in to my lane. Most were following each other with only several feet between them. Tandem brakes? Oh yeah twinned highways make driving safer, that shows every kilometer. Not one police vehicle to be seen the entire trip. Oh and that one driver that didn't do everything everybody else did. He followed me from Sackville to Kingston the entire trip far enough back that I could just tell it was the same vehicle. And he used signal lights too when necessary. Suppose he was having a bad day?
