Phone Call
I just made a phone call - on an old fashioned modified phone. That means it is an exact replica..well almost. You see it is an old fashioned style phone, that has the dial modified with buttons where the finger holes used to be to use the old rotary dial type mechanism.
As I was proceeding to 'dial' the call by pushing said buttons, I was thinking. "Man this thing is some slow, I can't even find the numbers." This was a long distance call so there were 11 numbers to seek out and press on the phony dial. (No pun intended.)
Anyway, finally the darn thing is ringing. Success at last. Oops, maybe not, the line is busy. Don't tell me I have to go through that again. Give me my cordless pre-programmed light weight wonder.
No, never mind, at least this modified old time baby has a secret redial button located in the centre of the dial. My how we change.
