Double Sided?
Gotta watch my periods, I am being watched. Since the topic is writing, here is one more that gets me.
We are a bilingual country, that much is taken for granted. I don't mind instruction manuals that are printed where English is on one side, and you invert and reverse it and French is on the other. Great idea, works for me.
But there are trade magazines out there that are afraid to offend anybody. They have English on the left hand page and French on the right hand page. Even worse, some of them put both languages on the same page, paragraph by paragraph, with no real pattern.
Talk about a waste of resources, those kinds of deals go straight to the recycle bin if I am around. And speaking of resources, there are often two pictures the same, one with an English caption and one with a French caption.
I often wonder who designs this stuff.
Now, what about people who often end their blogs with two periods.. :)
