This Program May Be
"The following program may contain scenes offensive to some viewers."
"The following program may contain material inappropriate for young viewers, parental discretion advised."
Almost every freakin' program has those words inserted as often as the commericals many times in almost all programs. Give me a break. I don't need to hear it that many times.
What the heck is our rating system for anyway? Parents pay absolutely no attention to it. How can you abort your favourite baby sitter? (TV sic) I'm darn sure the kids are not going to change channels upon hearing this stern command.
What kids do unsupervised online with the various chat systems and web cams is far more inappropriate for young viewers than you can find on any TV set.
Please, can I watch my damn program without hearing that friggin' announcement every ten minutes? (Caution, this blog may be inappropriate for young readers and may be offensive to some.)
