Why Does The Answer Always Have To Be Yes?

I was always of the opinion that if a question was asked there were at least two possible answers. Yes or No. It appears that has changed these days and that the only possible answer is yes.

Take the recent controversy in Truro where they were asked to fly a certain flag for an event. The answer was no, so a protest was constructed and media support gathered in order to insist the answer be yes.

Some time ago we had the question of Sunday shopping. A survey was done and other data analyzed and the answer was no. Well more protesting, defying and bitching until the answer was yes.

The example list could go on. If you think back over the past couple of years there have been lots of those types of questions. If the answer comes up no, there are kicks and screams until the answer becomes yes.

I am not criticizing the above topics or any other as to whether they are right or wrong, good or bad, or whether I agree or disagree.

My point is every controversial topic that comes up today, the answer must be yes. If not you will be labeled and hounded until it is.
