Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse
This blog will contain no picture. I have written many times how much I dislike chain letter emails, you know the ones you just have to send on to all your friends. If you don’t you are an A-hole, that will come upon bad luck, with something bad happening to you, before the end of the world happens in the next few days or hour or sometime.
I despise any form of mistreatment towards children. Those who are just learning, developing and in a sense helpless because they are so young. They depend on us adults to protect, guide and help them become persons better than us, and prepared for an ever changing world of the unknown. I hope all of you feel the same way.
I have recently received a couple of copies of an email called Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse. It contains a poem about a little girl, and (sic) pictures of a child and baby who has been beaten terribly about the face and body.
The lead in to the email says “Please read this, cry, and pass it on.” Then in huge capitol letters: IT’S OUR DUTY TO PASS THIS ON.
The email ends with “Please pass this poem on as a Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse because it could possibly change a child's life.”
I have never received emails that made me as angry as these have. Can you tell me how in the name of nemo forwarding this email on and on with its disgusting pictures can possibly change a child’s life. There are lots of ways to support the cause. This is not one of them.
If I receive any more copies of this type of email, I know where I will be forwarding it to.
