Not True

Every time I see this or similar statements it irks me to no end.

 

You need a PDF reader to read these files, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is fine if you already have it and are happy with it.

 

There are alternatives.

 

My favourite by far is Foxit Reader. It is smaller, much faster and doesn’t load a bunch of stuff that is not needed.

 

Another option could be Nitro PDF reader.

 

If you search Google you will find many other PDF readers.

 

So remember, when you see insistence such as that above, there are choices.
