It’s Christmas–Sales
We are settled in after several days of unpacking. The weather has been welcoming us, 25 deg. C. every day and lots of sunshine, although showers are promised for tomorrow.
The palm trees are all decorated and the stores are having sales on sales. Don’t you like those sales. I do. Well no, not the sales, but the people that are drawn to them.
After 15% off 20% off, your sales receipt indicates, “you saved $30. on this purchase.” Now I ask; “Where’s the thirty dollars you saved?” I don’t see it. It appears you don’t have thirty extra dollars in your pocket. One more observation. You didn’t buy the items because you needed them, you bought them because they were a good price. Who made on this deal anyway?
Wait, there’s more. What about the sale that says an additional 30% off if you spend over $50. If you didn’t plan on buying anything, but this deal was too good to pass up, and you spend over $50., who wins? Even if you planned to go to that store and buy an article for $22.50, but you bought goods worth $59.95 so you could get 30% off, who wins?
I’m thinking the only way to save 20%, 30%, or any percent, is to stay right here and write this blog.
