Special School

Been watching the storm news most of the day, hurricane Sandy causing big problems on the east coast. What some people have to go through is truly sad since you can't control anything about mother nature.

And I am always amazed how much technology serves us today with at the minute coverage, even from the space station which certainly gives a unique perspective on such a large storm.

But I still wonder where that special school is.

The one that teaches how to sensationalize every little tidbit of every little item.

For example, how do you embed lightning in rain showers?

Or describing and showing a group of people who are out checking out the storm when they shouldn't be because there is an evacuation in effect. Then the walk light in the background turns green and suddenly all the people disappear.

And honourable mention to the announcers that continually interrupt the person reporting in storm conditions about storm conditions to ask about a jogger that happens to be jogging by.

Maybe that's why I am writing this blog. I didn't find that special school to become one of them.
