Dollar Store

DollarDollarsignSpin

Remember when you used to go to the dollar store and come out after buying 25 or 30 dollars worth of stuff? At least a bag full of items that cost a dollar each.

1 Dollar

That store where you can buy things for one dollar or less hardly exists anymore. $1.50, $2.00 and up are pretty common.

Another one of those modern changing times things that shows how pre-conditioned we can become.

At first the signs may have said $1.00 or less. Not any more. None of the 'dollar' stores say one dollar.

2 Dollar

Two dollars, three dollars, five dollars - you name it. Its still a dollar store, only how many dollars isn't really indicated.

In fact, names like Dollarama, Dollar Tree and others are already prepared for the future. Its just us that isn't. Kind of enforces an up to date meaning to that saying, "A dollar isn't a dollar anymore."

2 Dollar Fifty

Anyway, excuse me, I am off to the dollar store for some two dollar fifty cookies.
