Soliciting Donations
When I restarted RoseGarden, I made a vow to myself to do more positive things than negative. Its too easy to be negative.
Good Luck with that!
Would You Care To?
Because soliciting donations at the cash register check out is becoming more and more intrusive in daily shopping, both here in Canada and the United States.
Giving is fine if you can afford to. Many organizations couldn't exist if it weren't for donations.
But do you have to hit people at the cash register during check out?
Are you trying to embarrass me?
Are you supposed to be embarrassed about you purchase and seek satisfaction by donating to the store's cause?
Or do the originators involved figure you will be too embarrassed to refuse in front of other people lined up behind you?
Do the store owners think that will make them look like better corporate citizens in their customer's eyes?
Whatever the reason in this circumstance, I have no problem saying 'no'. How about you?
