I Don't Care Attitude
I guess we all carry that attitude at one time or another when we have off days. But today I am talking about retailers. Do you find that there are a lot of so called big stores out there that have that sort of attitude.? Like they are doing you a favour to sell you something. Now I am not talking about a few dollars sale, I am talking about hundreds of dollars or perhaps even thousands.
That is what I am experiencing this week. Being asked to stand around for more than 20 minutes while they find someone to wait on me. And they never show up. Or 'wait right here I will get someone' and someone never comes.
Granted some of the staff are not getting paid great wages and perhaps they have a right to this attitude.
But the clincher for me came this week in the home renovation field where I intended to spend a few thousand including installation. I waited that twenty minutes and no one showed after two people said they would get someone. And on my departure I advised Customer Service of my less than ideal experience. I got a "sorry 'bout that. Do you want to fill out one of our customer courtesy cards?" Hell no, I just wasted 22 minutes of my time, I don't want to waste ten more filling out your stupid card.
Guess what Hump Demo, I am more than willing to go to a specialty dealer and pay more - so long as they have someone to wait on me...
