Tax Time
Well this is tax time, a time of resentment for me. I have always had to pay in, having received a refund only once in my life. I have no problem paying my fair share, it's the unfair share I disagree with. I don't believe in paying other people's child care expenses so they are able to go out to work. Especially when a mother who choses to stay at home and raise her children gets nothing. The next one follows.
Bonus Time
It was just announced certain public figures got a bonus in the thousands of dollars for a job well done - funded of course by tax dollars. There are thousands of workers who have also busted their butts to do a fine job, and beyond. Some spend long hours to assist, others get to work no matter what during hurricanes, and other severe storms. Some have come up with ideas that saved their employer money. Did they get a bonus, or was this considered a normal activity.
On A Final Note (from this weeks news)
Isn't it funny how a department can forget an elderly person's pension for years and years because she didn't understand she had to apply for it. Yet if you forget to claim twenty five dollars of income when you file, they find it immediately, and charge interest.
This is how I see it from here, how are you doing there?
