I'm A Winner

I have purchased lottery tickets off and on for years. Sometimes I get them week after week, other times get them steady for a few weeks, then knock it off for a few and so on.

The highest prize I ever won was a free ticket or $2.00. Now I hate getting two dollars. If I wanted two dollars I would have kept my original two dollars in the first place. And the free ticket – well that always costs me money, because I always get another ticket and to get the tag I have to pay a dollar. So winning these two prizes almost always costs me more money, not to mention the running back and forth to complete the transaction.

Last Friday something different happened. I won $10.00. That’s right, ten bucks. Now that is a big step forward for me after all these years. From two bucks to ten bucks. Lord knows how many hundred that cost me.

Suppose I am on a winning streak? Is it now my time? Imagine getting two numbers, instead of one or none. Wow! Maybe it is time for one of those $100.00 Dream Home tickets. Course it would be my luck out of those thousands of prizes to win the rubber dingy. On a scale that would be the same as winning two bucks!
